Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is NPBCL?Nepal Purwadhar Bikash Company Limited (NPBCL), is an infrastructure developer which has been incorporated in order to bring together investment, skills, expertise and other resources of Nepalese people within and outside of the country. Its main objective is to construct, operate and manage large scale infrastructure projects that cater the needs of the people and country as whole. How long will it take to build the highway?We aim to build the highway in four years of time. Our target is to construct a full running highway by December 2016. What is the total and the toll cost of the highway?The total estimated cost as per today’s date is approximately NRs. 34.87 billion. The toll cost however will be decided after negotiations are held with the government. How do I invest?Pledge Cards have been distributed to perspective investors or one can collect one from the office. Once the card has been filled the office will automatically contact you for further procedures to be carried out. What is the BOT model?The full form of BOT is Build, Operate, Own and Transfer. In a BOT project, the public sector grants the right to build develops and operates a facility or a system for a certain period known as the Concession Period, in what would traditionally be a public sector project What is PPPP?The 4P model is derived from the popular model of People, Public Private Partnership (PPPP). People, Public Private Partnership refers to an agreement between the public and private sectors whereby part of the services or works that fall under the responsibilities of the public sector are provided by the private sector, with clear agreement on shared objectives for delivery of public infrastructure and/ or public services. Is there any foreign assistant?The project is all built with the help of Nepali investors. We aim to promote Nepalese business houses through the project. Humongous amount of expertise, labor and, materials are required for the project. Foreign assistance will be used only if required and if the expertise in not available in the country. Who can invest at what limit?Every individual of Nepalese Origin can invest in the company. Our main motive is to involve as many as possible into this nation building project. The minimum amount of investment in Nrs. 100,000/-. How is it different from investing in any other company?As a public infrastructure-developer company, we aim at bringing together and managing investments, skills, expertise and resources of the Nepalese people from within and outside the country for the national development and wealth maximization.
